Beccy Owen's Pop-Up Choirs is an on-going series of group singing events.

In 2020, during the Covid19 crisis we moved all of our sessions online so that we could continue to
bring together people of all ages, backgrounds and musical tastes together.

Our Couch Choir sessions (Sundays, 11.00am-12.00pm and 6.00-7.00pm GMT) and Wake Up Singing session (Wednesdays 9am - 9.40am GMT) take place on Zoom and are all Pay As You Feel. To access these sessions and find out more please JOIN THE MAILING LIST.

A pop-up choir is a one-off musical happening that changes every time. EVERYONE is welcome to take part and most of our sessions are free or pay as you feel.

We tend to work a cappella (without any instrumental accompaniment) and always have loads of fun. The emphasis is on enjoyment, not perfection. We do a range of different songs from across all genres and from around the world.

There are no auditions and all voices are welcome.

All we ask of Pop-Up Choir 'members' is the ability to listen, a willingness to improve, and the readiness to accept direction. Then it's mainly about simply enjoying yourself and waiting for the 'performance magic' to take effect.

Some events are specifically designed to be child-/family-friendly, so please look out for the age recommendation for each of our events (it will usually say 'family friendly' or 'for adults and children aged 5+' or similar).

On The Day

Our one-off events tend to last between 30 and 90 minutes and take the form of a fun filled singing workshop led by highly experienced choir leader Beccy Owen. .

Beccy has been leading choirs professionally for the past twenty years (and pop-up choirs for the last four!) She has been all over the world collecting uplifting, accessible songs to share with you.

You will arrive to a warm welcome then be expertly led through a vocal warm up followed by a fun-filled, focussed singing workshop.
